Abstract:

This es a inmunological study, conducted among 12 patients with recurrent parotitis in childhood, aged between 3 to 12 years old. Wedge biopsies were obtained from smaller salivar lips glands. Polyclonal antibodiesagainst Ig G and Ig M were applied in all specimens, and the reaction was made visible with the indirect peroxidase method and ethyl carbazole as the color substrate. It was compared the number of stain plasmocytes versus stain plasmocyte gland, both submited to the same method. Results showed no significative difference between the study group and its control |
