Abstract:

Two sesquiterpene lactones have been isolated from the stems, leaves and flowers of Centaurea chilensis Hook. et Arn.: dehydrocostus lactone and 8 α-hydroxydehydrocostus lactone, and two steroids: β-sitosterol and stigmasterol. Antimicrobial activity of sesquiterpene lactones has been determined. |
