Author: Jalil Milad, Jorge; Palomera Gómez, Cristián Alejandro; Godoy, L.; Román, Maritza; Chiong Lay, Mario; Lavandero, Sergio; Ocaranza, María Paz
Abstract: In patients with hypertension who have the DD-ACE genotype (higher angiotensin-converting enzyme [ACE] activity), plasma levels of angiotensin-(1-7) are 4 times lower than in patients with the II-ACE genotype (lower ACE levels). Angiotensin II levels are similar in both groups.
